Really A Gay Icon in North America?

Triple threat actor, singer and composer, Carlos Ponce was born on September 4, 1972, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and was raised in the town of Humicao. In 1986, he and his family moved to Miami where he graduated from South Miami High School in 1990. His acting debut was on the Spanish language television station's show "Hablando."

This led to guest appearances on the Spanish soap opera's "Guadalupe" and "Sentimientos Ajeno. On American TV, Carlos is best known for his role as Carlos Rivera on the series "7th Heaven." His film roles include Luis in "Meet Me In Miami," Rodrigo in "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo," and Salvadore in 2009's Couples Retreat.

In 1998, Emilio Estefan signed Carlos to a record contract, and his first album reached the #1 spot in the Latin Billboards for nine weeks. He also has six CDs out on release, some in English and some in Spanish. Carlos and his wife Veronica have four children and currently live in Miami, Fla.

Would you pick the masculine and beefy Hugh Jackman or the softer, gentler Neil Patrick Harris. Would you wrap your arms around Ben Cohen or save your kisses for Anton Hysen. Well, a new Bollywood gay icon is popping up in the news after Madame Tussauds claimed that this man’s wax figure was the most kissed… by men!

Meet Hrithik Roshan. Born in Mumbai, Roshan was a child actor in Bollywood films in the 1980′s. He made his debut as a leading man in the year 2000 in the film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. For this role, he received a Filmfare Award for Best Actor and another for Best Male Debut. India’s highest-grossing film in the overseas market and his biggest commercial success to date came doing the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham which premiered in 2001. Now he is classified as one of India’s most accomplished leading contemporary actors of Hindi cinema.

With all his accomplishments, it’s no wonder he’s become a role model or an icon for many. But the Times of India say that among the Top 10 kissed statues at Madame Toussauds, Roshan’s is one of them. The said, “recent reports from the museum are reason enough on why he is being tagged as the new gay icon in the online community. The museum’s records reveal that not only is Hrithik amongst the most kissed actors but most of his kissing fans happen to be men. And these men are kissing him at all the ‘right’ places.
